Nurburgring - Oldtimers Grand Prix - Any tips?
Discussion
Going to the Oldtimers GP at the Nurburgring next week for the first time. Looking to make our way leisurely down by the thursday night and camp at Camping am Nurburgring.
Anyone been before and care to share any tips?
What vantage points are best to watch the action from round the Ring?
Many thanks!

Are you going with Porsche Club? The cost has gone up considerably since I last went with them, but the hospitality in the Porsche compound was excellent - plus they did have a viewing platform 'around the back'.
It's a busy event, and probably the cars that were at Silverstone last weekend will be in Germany for the OldT's and then to Oulton for the Gold Cup at the end of month.
I've been twice with a group of fellow petrolheads and thoroughly enjoyed it - the club car parks are brilliant; in fact the whole thing is brilliant!!

We are going across to the OGP. We are staying at a friends hotel 10k from the circuit.
I made enquiries about the Porsche package, but had already bought weekend tickets, so it would have been horribly expensive!
My main query was about the club car parks? This used to be the place to wander and I would like to know if this is still the case or has it gone 'all corporate'?

did this a few years ago, the campsite is pity wild in places. Best to just drink more than the germans then you don't care. My best memory woke up on Saturday morning to a GT40 engine reving being played through the pa system followed by cat stevens morning as broken. how say the germans don't have a sence of humour.
