Hi Guys

Having never been to VMax before, I am unsure of how the event works.
How many runs does each car normally get and do you keep the same passenger for every run?

I am able to get to the event, but not as a passenger on the actual VMax speed runs.

Do passengers swap between different cars throughout the day?

and does anyone have a spare pew for any of the speed runs?

Yours confused and curious!
Ben

No rules. Providing reasonable levels of personal hygiene are in evidence there are invariably passengers jumping from car to car, some drivers have even been known to swap keys.

I've been twice now and will be going to this one.

Generally, wander over to a car with an an empty passenger seat, ask if you can hop in and away you go. Maybe do one or two runs with that driver, say thanks very much, hop out and go find another.

On the last occasion I think I got runs in about 12 different cars.

If you want any tips on how to blag runs, either email me or Muncher. I've been named the Supercar Pimp by Domster as i seem to have lots of mates with stupidly nice cars in the city, and have done rather nicely at Brunters

Just make sure you're really thankful. I always come away feeling elated but a bit of a pikey for getting rides as the drivers normally have to replace brakes etc so their costs are much more than mine.

Muncher on the other hand came up to me and BCA at his first one and asked how to get rides. He seemed a bit shy so we said to ask nicely... by the time id had my first run he'd been out in a Diablo and 996...

It's a great event and all the guys (and Gregs wife) know that i'll repay the favours in the future with my cars

v15ben, I did reply to you, I was asking if you are coming in a car that is running as spectators not allowed on this one I am afraid.

On the basis that (weather permitting......God I hope it's sunny) I'll be attending as a passenger. I'd be happy to vacate my seat (Owner permitting - which I don't think will be a problem) for others to enjoy, providing I can blag a ride/rides in an alternative. Craig, if I remember I think you're down for a run.

Hehe, not had the pleasure of the Diablo yet.

Highlight was probably 2/3 runs in the GT3 RS, then hopping straight into the 360 Challenge Stradale. Just like a top gear road test!

I think I've racked up the following:

Tuscan
Griff 500
T350
T350T
Cerbera
Ferrari 360 Modena
Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale
Jaguar XKR (450bhp iirc)
Porsche Boxster S
Porsche 996 GT3 RS
Porsche 996TT X50
Porsche Ruf Turbo R
Porsche 996 GT2
Porsche 996 GT2 R
Porsche 993 Turbo (Der's Beetle)
Porsche 993 Turbo (Martyn's Flying Banana)
BMW M3 CSL
BMW M5
Alpina B3
Audi RS6
Noble M12 GTO 3R
Noble M12 GTO
Maserati 3200

WOW

Just remember to *ask*. Some of us just end up blatting around on our own, just come up, say "hello, can I have a ride in your car please" and the next thing you'll know you'll be doing 90+ around the end at the bottom (well, you will if you are in the Noble )

Hiya Paul, thought the 360 Spider might be you.

No worries about passenger runs mate, just come and find me or Craig and we'll sort you out. Alternatively speak to the drivers, I'm sure someone will swap a seat in your car for a ride in theirs.

Drivers take precedence over people just there poncing rides.

Cheers,
Greg
