That's the spirit: mindless optimism in the face of an appalling reality.

I can honestly say, the rain across the M62, earlier today, was borderline lethal.

The advantage with Brunters, is that it's so damn exposed, a modest lull in the airbourne tsunamae is oft the precusor to much dryness and restoration of faith in one's gumballs.

Moreover, it may be the one location (aside from commando training along the Brecon Beacons) where the sporting of a PH headwear products are (a) practical and (b) not necessarily a major faux pas.

Crevice, a positively disgusting word.

I've had a word.

We're going to have sunshine all day, although it will feel chilly with the temperature at 1 degree C to assist the turbos, 200mph tail winds on the main straight from 2pm to 4pm and 30 minutes after we've all left to drive home we'll have a monsoon which will clean our cars for us.

Oh yes I will! I've not yet taken a daytime picture that wasn't enhanced by using one. All I need is another one for the telephoto lense!

Just caught a couple of the main weekend weather forecasts: it seems to be a general across the board 'cloudy but dry' consensus.

Hardly tropical and maybe the odd 'how do?' from the golden orb i'th'sky.
