Coming back from Truro yesterday the wiper packed up, had to limp home at 50mph. Not much fun.
Anybody who wishes to volunteer to strap themselves to the bonnet for a high speed run, complete with a leather will be gratefully recieved.

No rain predicted so take the wiper arm off and go even faster!

Hope it doesnt rain for you. My wipers failed during a down pour on a motorway recently. Not fun.

Simon. Are you sure it's not something simple like a fuse?

Si, do you want me to bring a bottle of Rain-X, just in case?

At warp factor 1 a good application of the former will "do the business", without the need of a small child attached to the front of the car.

At speed, Rainx will work even better than a wiper does.

I think some found last time that the wiper won't work at high speed anyway.

Really Stu?

For your perousal:

www.rainx.com/frame_auto_glass.htm

I'll be bringing the bottle tomorrow, so if you want to give the Aston a treatment, just ask.

Opinion on it is totally polarised. Some swear by it, some think its shite (eg I love it, Emm hates it)

Nope must have missed that... but I like the concept.

So what's the one to get

Rain-X® Original Glass Treatment
Rain-X® Anti-FogTM
Rain-X® Anti-FogTM
Rain-X® Glass Cleaner
Rain-X® Glass Cleaner
Rain-X® Glass Polish

Any excuse for a needless joint in the motor to Halfrauds.

I used to use Rain Wizard, and even on the Fiat (at the low speeds it was capable of) I could leave the wipers off on the A roads...

Might pop to halfwits later and pick some up actualy..

Rain X is the business. At motorway speeds you dont need the wipers at all.

The key to it working well however is a proper application. The windscreen needs to be totally clean, wiped down with glass cleaner (i found that better than white spirit) then 2 applications of RainX.

Then use RainX washer fluid too. If applied badly, it's not worth doing it I find.
