15th December from Lets Race to Chestnut Tree House.
Last year i helped organise delivering Teddy Bears to the Chestnut Tree House Children's Hospice. We started at Crawley Town FC and drove in convoy to the Chestnut Tree House and delivered the bears. In the process we raised £2,400 towards the running of the Hospice.
This year we hope to raise even more but in order to do so we need people to join us on the run this year starting at Lets Race the F1 Simulator Centre in Horley and deliver the Teddy Bears to the Chestnut Tree House. We are accepting sponsorship / donations as well and urge people that want to come along on the run to try and raise some sponsorship as well, it all helps.
The other good thing is that one of our sponsors Barclays Bank have said that the money that gets donated via our bank account will be doubled by them.
Website is : www.teddybearrun.co.uk where you will find links to us on Twitter and Facebook as well.
Thanks,
John.

sorry i may have missed it somewhere - but what's the timings for this? our kit car club has a brekkie meet that morning not far from Horley and would like to mention this to those that are going to that in case they may want to join in with this - but no idea whether the timings will work.....
All you need to do is sign up here : http://www.teddybearrun.co.uk/signup
And Westley will contact you with details of how to pay the joining fee and if you want to go on the F1 Simulators etc (its £10 extra).
On the day we all meet at Lets Race and collect the Teddies and get the stickers etc, we then drive down to Chestnut Tree House with a Police convoy and hand over the Teddies to the Staff / Children at the Hospice, they will be putting on Hot drinks etc and explaining a bit more about what they do there.
Cheers,
John.

sorry to question this to the nth degree.....
when you say 08.30 - does that means folks will congregate from then or leave then or??
our mob will i think be tied up with brekkie after an early run out til around 9.30, so prob the earliest any of them could get to the start point would be 9.45/10.00....obviously there's no point in me bringing the subject up if you need everyone there earlier/will have left, similarly would be a pity if we read later on that no one left till 10+

What a fab event this was, shame about the weather but it didn't dampen spirits one iota. My first time doing anything for Chestnut Tree House, and on the brief visit and limited info I have was truly humbled by the work they do there. Will definitely be back next year.
My sincere thanks to Westley and the crew for all their hard work, the event was a toga credit to you all.

First time for me and Mum and Dad doing anything for Chesnut Tree House, and we thoroughly enjoyed the drive down (I persisted with the rain and the roof stayed down all the way - to the amusement of some!)
