Geneva Motor Show 2014
Discussion
I will be going on the first day of the show. Its a long day up at 4am for the 7.15am flight to Geneva by Easy jet. With a return flight Geneva time about 8pm for a retuen home at 10pm ish. Its cheaper than you think by Easy jet but if you want to go next year you will need to book about 8 weeks after the show when the flights are released for sale. I pay about £70 for a return flight + £20 for car park, the show is appro £12. So go for it. I will be going on the 6th BTW

No need to be quite that keen to do it for a reasonable price. We booked two weeks ago. Flying out with Swiss Air, £100 return, out Friday, back Saturday.I'm going on the 7th. Went 3 years ago and went out on the early flight so had all day there... but we were round it in about 4 hours or so. So had an expensive afternoon to fill before our late flight home. On the plus side we did get in for free!
This year we're there from 1pm til 9pm.
As a slight aside - does anyone know if mere mortals will be allowed on the McLaren stand?

Why so quick? Not busy? Small? I've been there for work the past few years and struggle to see everything in a day. In fact last year I had to miss a load of stands to get back to the airport in time for the evening flight home.

It maybe a reasonable price for the flight. But staying in Geneva or just over the border will be very expensive. But one person things is reasonable is expensive to another.

I don't think that its worth going if your only spending 4 hours at the show. McLaren good luck. Got on the Ferrari and Maserati stand last but the friend who I was with managed to blag us on, as he had the right look, if the makes sense. If you have trainers.track suit no chance of getting on even if your a millionaire. This year we're there from 1pm til 9pm.

Can't have spent much time on each stand.

I guess we didn't spend as much time as we could have on each stand. I like cars but really how long can you stand and look at something? I mean, it's not like we had all day! Plus it was quite busy as it was the Saturday we went last time.Part of the problem is I read a lot of the on line stuff, so there weren't a lot of surprises to see. I'm trying to avoid seeing too much this time round.
If I remember correctly they actually sell an afternoon ticket so we can't be the only impatient types!

We'll actually get a bit longer than that if we need it. It's a cheap and short enough flight to warrant the short visit I reckon. I have quite a good laugh with my Brother-in-law too so that's a bonus. And I like the travelling I suppose.I'll dress smart but I won't be able to hide the Yorkshire accent!

Saying that, I went on a Thursday and got there first thing and the crowds away from the super car stands weren't too bad at all.
