MiniHooners to visit AMG factory in April 2005
Discussion
Anyone who attended the last VMAX and witnessed Phatgixer's SL65 blast down Bruntingthorpe's 2 mile runway at only 2mph slower than GuyR's 550bhp Ruf GT2 clubsport, may be interested to hear that the upcoming Minihoon trip from 14th to 17th April will include a full organised tour of the AMG factory in Stuttgart.
The visit is obvously a great opportunity to find out what the bloody hell AMG think they are playing at, building cars so ridiculously quick whilst at the same time blinging them up with DVD players and airconditioned arse massaging seats!!
Depending on individual preferences whilst at Stuttgart there may be the opportunity to also visit the large Mercedes or the smaller Porsche museum.
I know some VMAXers are already booked on for the trip, but I thought I'd bring it to everyone's attention just incase people weren't aware of it. Full details can be found in the links on this this thread:

Should be a damn good weekend, judging by the quality of people on the last Eurohoon trip. Also looking forward to some derestricted autobahn blasting and calling off at Nurburg for a few hours.

I've just checked my diary and am very miffed that I can't make Eurohoon as it clashes with one of the Britcar races I've entered....
Would have been good to take my coal to Newcastle!! Actually that is a bit untrue as the SLs are made in Bremen and only the engines are made in Affalterbach.
You will be pleased to know that the SL was 1,500 miles old at VMax VII and will be near 9,000 at the next one and it has loosened up considerably and I reckon GuyR will have to adjust his considerable wick to keep up

Oh dear. In order to make Craig more jealous we'll probably be driving on the Ring as well.
