Nope. Afraid not.

The airfield's rules state no spectators. Only drivers and passenger.

You can try asking for if any drivers have spare passenger seats, but most bring a mate from home

Without wishing to appear an elitist snob, I doubt if Craig wants to get everyday cars involved in the event, when due to each event being well oversubscribed he is already having to turn away drivers of high performance vehicles.

IF the event isn't full, then I certainly see no reason why not...

I wish i could let everyone come guys but its just not possible. i need to ensure that every paying driver gets as much time on the track as they want & go home feeling that they couldn't have done any more than they wanted to.

On the last Vmax I could have easily had 100 fantastic cars running & had virtually every type of performance car(although brunters would have smacked my @rse) but it would have meant only a few runs for everyone which in my opinion would dilute the event & ruin it for the drivers.

It's a tried & tested formula which thus far has worked well & I always try to work hard to keep it that way and shall continue to do so. I hate to turn people away but as with all things there are only a finite number of cars allowed.

thanks for all your emails, much appreciated.

The problem with slower (sub 140ish) cars is that the way VMax works means that you can't really overtake safely on the main runway.

If you've got a car topping out at 110,120ish and then Adam's CTR going next... you've got a possible closing speed of 90mph and it becomes dangerous, unless you slow down the day's proceedings significantly.

we do always gauge which cars have just gone out & delay the following cars accordingly though.

Sorry Andy, I know that you're saying, but I have to clarify this.

I've always tried where possible to send out cars of equal performance or thereabouts.

I know enough about what car does what top end wise to know how much space to give the cars coming out behind you on a run. Anything else would be misguided, or downright dangerous.

With respect to the infield return track, well, we all know how to use our mirrors and observe. If we sent people out 2 at a time and waited until they were back at the start/finish, we wouldn't get half the runs in that we do.
