Was thinking of going to this on Sunday but there seems to be quite sketchy info even on their website as to the best place to watch from.

Has anybody been to this and could give some advice as the best place to watch the cars go by.

Ideally would like to see them in Surrey/Sussex.

Cheers

We go cross country from Reading and catch them outside the Rose and Crown, Cuckfield (they normally lay on coffee and bacon sarnies from mid-morning).
Then drive down to Brighton, parking in the underground car-park just West of the Grand Hotel before going onto Madeira Drive for some tyre-kicking.
However this year we're contemplating going into Crawley before-hand as there's a check-point in the High Street
Cheers, Pewe.
PS weather's looking good!

Cuckfield is a nice village and adds to the atmosphere and they go slowly through the village so you can have a good look. Oh and easily have a pint while there.

Red Eunos with roll hoop & hood down plus PH sticker left lower below the boot lid.
Have a great day.

Very foggy in Surrey and West Sussex this morning so do drive carefully if venturing down this way smile

Thanks so much for your advice on this - I ended up parking on the verge just South of Cuckfield and then walking into the village to see the cars go by, then down to Brighton to see the parade and then drove the route in reverse passing the others still coming down - an absolutely brilliant day and added to my annual event list.

Really appreciate your help

Cheers

Pleasure & glad you enjoyed it.
Unfortunately SWMBO woke up with flu symptoms so we didn't make it - next year.....
Cheers, Pewe.

A video and a few pictures, including a spooky happening, on here: http://www.writewheel.uk/. Click on Articles.

Lovely day, probably the best weather I can remember. Last year it rained from about 9.30 where I was, in Burgess Hill.

Policing Brighton for the Veteran Car Run was one of the best days to work. The crowd was always very pleasant, talkative, and if you couldn't scrounge a chicken sandwich, then you shouldn't be a police office.
