Had an excellent day at Stoneleigh on Saturday. The show was not too busy and some nice cars on display although in some of the halls the trade stands seem to have grown in number. Rally stage was excellent, nice variety of cars and some enthusiatic driving! Here's a taster and a link to the rest of the pictures.

Really has been one of my favourite shows to visit over the years. Had a great time yesterday.

Very sad to be told that it's the last one at Stoneleigh Park and the plan is that it will be at the NEC from now on. The location was part of its charm.

I visited yesterday and had a really good time and feel that this is amore `grass roots` show. The karting and rally stage is always very entertaining. If it goes to the NEC the cost will go through the roof and no more free parking so fond farewell.
Whilst there I got to `meet` Damon Hill. I have to say how disappointed I was with his demeanour - no response to my greeting even visually. Where did all his dad`s charisma and people skills go?

Yes, we met him too. I got the impression that he was a bit 'not too bothered' as well. Asked for his autograph for my son but the woman who was with him said to wait as there was an official autograph session in an hour. Then they just walked off. I can live with that. It's not my right to demand his autograph. We waited around for the 'official signing' and got it in the end on my lads Gulf backpack. Was a bit annoying though, watching him sign about 15 others who just asked him on spec.

on tentenths they are saying that this isn't true and Stoneleigh is already booked for next year.

I've heard the show has been bought by Clarion (organisers of various shows at NEC) and that it will be amalgamated with the Restoration Show.

was there on the Saturday. been most years. a friend always has a stand there with his current rally car on it, was his mk2 escort this year. all in all, a decent show but I feel that a couple of hours there is enough. out door bit was ok but I feel it could do with a bit of a freshen up for next year. few old rally cars doing a couple of laps not exactly thrilling. a better outdoor stage / track would be better IMO.
