Ok I lifted at that right hander (2nd to last corner), I guess I was doing about 70-80, though Im not really sure.

I'm guessing I did a 540 spin, and collided with the only obstacle on the entire track, a white plastic drum. Nothing dented apart from my pride thought I'd gotten away with it, until I saw Trackdemon recording the event for all to see ...!

Thanks to all the concerned PHer's who stopped and checked I was ok. Much appreciated.

So what I'd like to do is share the embarrasment... where and why did you spin at vMax? :

I've only spun once....at the last but one.

Driving the Beetle (pre fettling), went head to head with Kevins Challenge Stradale. Took the bottom bend at about 100 and felt the back end scrabbling. Did what you should NEVER do in a 911 (hey, I didn't know...)

I took my foot off the gas.

Span twice, but had about £140Ks worth of car bearing down on me..... Kevs expert driving skills meant he sailed past me. Nothing dented but my pride....Derestrictor sat next to me laughing his head off.

Seems a lot of people span at the same corner yesterday....the penultimate before the start / finish?

I'm afriad I also took a slight diversion.

The left hander on the way back to the waiting area. Ended up sat in the middle of a field, with the car looking more like my back garden.

Twas fun though

Yes mate, thats the one. I was really impressed with how Trackdemon and Smiffy went through those corners - wonder if they give lessons?

Its scarey though at the point when you've realised you've lost it, and your just along for the passenger ride... I was just relieved nothing was damaged. Need to practice going sideways

Yep both Badapple and myself (Silver VX220 Turbo) spun. Mine was at the sharp right hander just after the straight when I had Johnny Senna on board (sorry mate)and Baddaple spun 2 corners on.

Spin of the day had to go to Muncher in the blue VX220. He had more mud and grass in his wheel arches than was left on the infield.

I trust you'll be harranging him to stump up for the Stage 2 for some months yet

Nice to meet you Davey, utterly bizzare set of coincidences eh?

Shame I had the Noble owner's day clash - I'd have love to show you how the M400 just doesn't do that!

Next time.

You too mate. Small world. Hope you will have your car at the next one so you can take me for a spin.

Phil doesnt really need much tempting to get any upgrades. I wouldnt be surprised if he has already booked the car in.

Not this time.

After the big spin last VMax across the runway that ended on the grass, I took it much easier round the bend onto the runway all day.......

Ah, but that bit of showboating at "the bend where everyone went off" was sheer class.

Respect, Mr R

I think s a m must take the accolade of the best spin of the day, second lap driving the car, full beans, all went a bit wrong at 90mph

I thought fine, nothing to worry about, BANG off the tarmac and airborn, round and round, finally coming to a halt.

Got out of the car to inspect the damage and Trackdemon lost it big stylie about 30 yards away

Oh well, the video should be amusing

I have to own up to a spin at the bottom corner at about 80 ish showing my brother how the SEAC should be driven round there.
Worst part's of it were
1. I caught the slide and then ran out of arms

2. No one saw it.

3. I knackered 2 brand new tyres!

Oh well, well worth it for the look on his face after he finished choking on the tyre smoke.

Actually, that's all I was doing, practicing... honest!

Exit from bottom bend, 100mph accelerating, drifting nicely, nicely, a bit more power, a bit more right ha - ah, oops BOLLLLLOOOOOOX!

Well what do you expect with the t/c on! (doh!) Still new tyres and all that, probably for the best
