Timing gear question

I'd of said VMax 7 was slightly longer than VMax 6. At 6 I made the corner everytime after braking, at 7 I only tried making it once and used the escape route every other time. It seemed about 100m further on to me (even in the afternoon).
We'll never know though.
Next time I'll datalog the exact length if I remember.

Had a funny one on Fri- doing some timing for a mag article on VWs at Brunters, anyway, had the GPS Daltron (sp?) gear in the car so not timing beams so & basically brake when you want.....
If you look to the right there are marked hundred metre boards before the bend, & as I seemed to have loads of safely space left over each time & left it later & later & I found leaving it to about 150m was fine, mind you areodynamics of a brick & sub 200bhp equaled hardly stratospheric speeds & didnt see much over 130, so not normal Vmax velocities
That mad yellow Ibiza that the Vmax regulars will remember- still hit 160 again tho!
