I've recently had a tyre system fault message pop up on my 2011 Vantage N420

I am still getting pressure readings off all 4 tyres though and have ensured these are at 33psi front and 36 psi rear as per spec but still get the error message

Has anyone else had this problem? I thought it may be a sensor fault but as I'm still seeing all 4 pressure readings I'm not so sure

Will likely have to visit a dealer so hoping its not an expensive issue

I’ve just had the same on my Vanquish after a ferry trip. It stayed for a couple of days but went away. It’s almost as if it’s lost the signal between the car and the sensor.

Peculiar, we have the same car and the same problem! What color is yours? smile

Check this thread, myself and others put all the info I had.

Spoiler alert: the batteries are almost empty, I will buy those sensors next week.

I find I get this if I start the car and don’t drive it for 5 mins - for example whilst arguing with my wife or programming the sat nav, or arguing with my wife about programming the sat nav - before driving off. Then after 10-15 mins or even on the next key turn it sorts itself out.

Thanks - yes I had seen that thread

Just hope it doesn't mean all the sensors are gone

Will ask AM dealer to give me the low down I think

Frequently have tyre session faults even though the pressure is fine. Always the same wheel. They recently changed the sensor, I think that has resolved the issue.

I dropped the car into AM Reading for a quick diagnostic check and fault reset but no luck. Apparently it could be sensor or module issue and would need the car booked in to check. Earliest date was 18 June! Going to take it elsewhere.

Also, in response to earlier post, I didn't think you could disable the system on the later cars - only on pre 2010 Smart Tire ones?

yes I had seen that thread already but it didn't really help

I have not seen a case like mine of where you get the error message but all 4 tyre readings are still working

You did, mine!

I am in the same situation. Dealer confirmed it's the batteries on their way out but not quite so. Some sort of low battery warning.

Just had an update from local specialist who have the car in - despite spending 2 hours on the car they cannot determine what is causing the problem - been advised to visit main dealer

So I can now book it in there or take the chance of replacing all 4 sensors with the TPMS.de ones and hoping it clears the error - what a pain!

I feel you.

But I am pretty sure that the batteries on your sensors are on the way out, just like mine.

If you can wait tomorrow, I will let you know how it went with my TPMS24.de/Autel sensors.

Get the Aston Installations bypass cable and just check the pressures yourself.
I had 40 years of driving without a "monitoring system" with no problems and the last 4 years with one has been a pain frown

Believe that only works for pre-2010 Smarttire system

I can gladly report back that the sensors worked perfectly. In seconds after turning ignition, the car picked them up and started to show pressure values, with no warning light.

40€ each plus 80€ installation, quite an economy from picking them up from dealer.

Just an update on this

I ordered the sensors from TPMS.de and they arrived quickly. I just had them fitted this morning and the tyre pressures are all getting picked up and no more warning messages - a great relief!

Thanks EVR and others who recommended them

I seem to get this message occasionally, but only when the Mrs is in the car, I'm convinced she's smacking it with her knee, it never shows an error when it's just me in the car. scratchchin
