Thoughts on the Trax event at Silverstone?

I will be visiting England for the first time in October and was wondering what the Trax show is like.

How's the show overall?
Will I see a good variety of performance cars there?
Can I get there from London via public transportation?

Honestly it is not a good example of the British car (scene). You will find a lot of poorly modified hatchbacks and cars that you would find sitting in our local Tesco's on a Friday night.
