I've started a new post to get rough numbers and to inform you of the upcoming event of 'Chasing Dragons' on Sunday 16th October 2005.
This will be the Bristol region's last major run out of the year involving heading over to South Wales, taking in the Beutiful Wye Valley and the aw inspiring Brecon Becons before stopping of at a pub in Llangynidr for lunch before heading back home.
The route has been recced, and is a cracker of approx 150 mile door to door, but will remain confidential until the day when people taking part will be issued a route plan.
Initial talks with the ROs from South Wales, West Wales and the Cotswold Three Counties, Wiltshire, Cornwall & Devon & Dorset look promising with all regions saying they could get people interested; if people show, we could be looking at a meet of around 40 cars or more which would be a great attendance to end off this years events.
The timetable so far is -
Meet at the Willy Wicket from 0800hrs to depart at 0900hrs sharp.
Meet point 1 is at 0915hrs at Aust Services (Jct 1, M48, Old Severn Bridge) to form up with members from more southern regions aiming to depart by 0930hrs.

I've spoken spoken with the Severn Crossing and they are arranging to put on an additional Toll for us (furthest left at the end of the slip road) from 0930hrs in an effort to keep the group together. I also asked on the off chance of getting a concession for a large group of cars and to pay a nice round £4.00 but they were having non of it; so all who are coming please remember your £4.80.
Meet point 2 is at approx 1015hrs at the Services 4 miles west of Monmouth on the A40 to form up with members from C3C &/or Wales regions. Departure is looking to be at 1030 - 1045hrs depending on numbers.
The Coach & Horses Tavern - We're looking to arrive here by 1230hrs for dinner. A table has been booked for the Bristol Region, but if anyone would like to book a table for food, please contact the pub direct on 01874 730 245.
LATEST UPDATE
For those who haven't booked, you should be able to get a Sunday dinner at the Coach & Horses; but if not, there is also the Travellers Rest Inn or the Usk Inn, which was Welsh pub of the year 2004-05, we pass both as we head through Talybont and are only a short drive from the Coach & Horses, so not to far to drive back too.
Departure from here will be region dependant but the Bristol group will be leaving at 1500hrs to be back to Bristol by 1700hrs.
Sorry the above post is Smileyless.
It's not that I'm miserable
, it's that I've just copied it straight over from the TVRCC site.
Anyway, all are very welcome, and looking at the responses I've had so far (Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Wiltshire, C3C, Wales & Bristol), it should be a good one.
See Ya Sunday.
