Crowdstrike 24 hours of Spa

We (group of about 20 lads) usually go to Lemans 24 and/or Lemans classic, but in 2027 we have a couple of event clashes that mean we cant!
So we are planning to do Spa 24 instead for a change
Never been, what can we expect compared to Lemans?
I understand the on-site campsites are pretty rough with no showers etc, where should we camp that doesn't need us to drive anywhere and still have some life and atmosphere at night?
Worth getting grandstand/pit passes or plenty of space to watch from the banks?
Worth going to the town on Friday evening for a meal and check out the town? Do they have a drivers parade?

We camped in the nearby Spa town and took a taxi there and back. It was more chilled than probably what you are after for a campsite so perhaps wait for some more recommendations.
Grandstands are open unless that’s changed you won’t need a ticket. The paddock area access is definitely worth doing.
You can walk the whole circuit and you should. The viewing is of the circuit is far better than Le Mans. You get closer and there are many areas with openings in the barriers. The elevation changes also mean you get great vantage points.
The experience is more pure of a race experience than Le Mans which is more festival like.
For the town, we went there mostly for food and Belgian beer. There’s a nice walk up to the top of the hill where the actual spa is. There’s a bar up there as well.

I've been to the Spa 24 this year and in 2025 and I found the campsite facilities to be pretty good. Both times I camped in the Les Combes site in a group of 8 and there are showers, plenty of portaloos and a fresh water station.
Can't say what the other campsites are like but I've found Les Combes to be good enough for the 5 days of racing. Showers are hired in and are inside a lorry container, with a long run of cubicles inside. 4 euros entry, but the water is warm with a good pressure and there are shelves in the cubicles for towels/change of clothes etc. Portaloos are portaloos, they were pretty bad in 2025 but OK this year. There are also good toilets in the Raidillon grandstands - I always make sure to stop by before making the hike up the Kemmel back to camp.
If you do decide to camp, I would highly recommend arriving midday or early afternoon on the Wednesday. I believe the site was completely full by Thursday afternoon this year.
There is plenty of entertainment outside of the racing, but I mostly avoided the live music stages and similar - only interested in the racing. The midnight pit walks and track walks are good fun though. One of them is directly after the GT3 night practice and you get to see the teams hard at work in the garages and some will even do pitstop demonstrations. Definitely recommend getting paddock access, not only is the access great there are some nice shortcuts to make use of when getting around the track - just keep your head on a swivel as it can be quite busy with team personel moving tyres on quad bikes etc.
