I know Trackdemon and Muncher did and I know Steff spun my car because I was sat next to him at the time!

Anyone else have any 'mishaps'?

Not me, sir.

Rob from DMS had an epic spin in his M5 on the track and also (I heard) on the way home, down "that" road we turn right onto that comes out in front of the Esso garage.

At the time we (me, DeR, Plotloss) left, the road had become lethal, well slippery. I took it easy and had the bloody traction light come on at 50mph - just drove over black ice, I guess.....

Best driver of the day (for me) was Andy Fearns, who drove DeRs Beetle a fair few times....took BOTH corners at the bottom sideways....well impressed....

Correct, just once on the final bend in my mate's car. Giving it some serious beans, caught it, didn't give it quite enough beans to hold it and off the track backwards at speed

I was in Steve's (or Tiff as I call him) as he was getting some truly epic slides on, shouting "Hold it you !!!" and banging the wheel mid drift

'twas funny. Have to say my spins don't count: I was practicing(!!) finding the limit, which is why later in the day I was able to pitch the car into a decent angle of attack and keep it there for some reasonable slides round bottom bend. TBH the NSX is emphatically not the tool for the job - steering too slow, suspension too soft, no LSD and mid engined. Ask Craig & Andy about my grass drifting later on though.....

Saw the car after that... looked like a Honda Flymo!

Had a moment myself on that same road that comes out in front of the Esso Garage. So fecking lucky their was no vehicle coming the other way as i 4 wheel drifted round a bend (not going quickly), but managed to keep on the tarmac albeit on the wrong side of the road. Proper brown trouser moment, i tell thee.

I also got the beetle sideways (quite unintentionally) at the top right corner leading back to the start point... back stepped out, added opp lock, still going, more opp lock, got it straight then wound the lock off sharpish before it snapped back. It must have sounded like a spin from the car park area, but no badger baiting that time

I reckon Fearns must have scrubbed the tread off the tyres previously.

Fair play to DeR driving it home in the ice.

I'm glad I left early when there was still sunshine to keep the roads dry and frost free, Dunlop Formula Rs are not the best tyres in cold slippy conditions!

I actually thought the track was very grippy, until I left at least.

I couldn't say the same for the left hand side of the starting straight however, I was spinning the wheels all the time on that side, just couldn't get the power down!

Yep. The left hand side had the smooth black stuff over all the joints. It seemed to have ice on all day.

I tried to play fair by keeping to the left as it wasn't too noticable in mine.

Suppose you would have had a bit more room on the right hand side if one of those tempremental Italians hadn't let go of a water hose an hour before lunch!!!

I have to agree mind you the left hand side for me in the 550 was all but impossible to get a decent start without having a shredfest on the rears.. However I did manage a few good ones on the right before retiring. Rest of the track was A1 though really; especially the first turn in after the straight and the left hander before the 747...

Hello chap,

Bedford was a lot easier - slow speed bend, 2nd gear in the wet. Bottom bend @ brunters I was lifting off and turning in at about 70mph to get the tail moving then back on the throttle to ride the slide - alot more tricky but much more satisfying How are you BTW chap? I'm hoping I'll get these Gransport shots done for you - whens it due?

I'm @ Bedord December 17th with RMA if youve got wheels...

cheers,
Steve
