This is an interesting way to start posting on a forum, I know. But here goes;

I've popped over from www.briskoda.net to try and find a seriously fast car.

I'm leaving my current job at a company on the site of the former USAF base at Upper Heyford, Oxfordshire and I want to go out with a bang.

If you take a look at www.philgooch.com/video you'll see the sort of thing I mean.

However, on Thursday 19th I have the following cars coming to play:

Nissan 350Z twin turbo
400bhp Golf
400bhp Octavia (TBC)
300bhp Octavia (TBC)
Jaguar XKR 400
260bhp Scoobie

Now what I need is something to top that lot.

Take a look at the videos on the page linked above and you'll see what is involved, nothing too difficult

You're welcome to stay on site to enjoy the taxi ways and perimeter roads if required.

The snag? If Thames Valley Police are using the facility the main taxi-way will be out of bounds. For this reason I suggest you dont make a 100 mile trip for it.

If you're close by it'll be a great little outing.

1pm start.

Will pop a cross link about this onto the Cerbera forum for you, mine will probably not be back on the road before then but there may be some others who would be interested.

Goochie, who do you work for? (PM me if you prefer!) I'm also based at Upper Heyford, although I have heard complaints about people not sticking to the 20mph limits (indeed when we were using some of the runway a couple of years ago a mate got followed by one of the secrity guards for driving round the perimiter road a bit too enthusiastically)

I'll have to see if I've got some free time on the 19th to come and have a look...

I work for a company through the main gate, half way between the gatehouse and the QEK's place on the left. WHite buildings What about you?

Never had a problem with the security guys, like you said though if you stick to 20-30mph on the perimeter road you're OK.
