Just a thought. As money from the cameras is allegedly "invested in road safety" , if we "raise" enough money what would the tunneling crew like to see our money spent on?!

Somewhere along the route my origin said SPECS in a 20 Zone, do they really exist? (given that specs don't flash - at least I don't think they do) who knows as I might have been doing 30 at the time

Was careful all night, but as we entered the Limehouse Link tunnel, it was all clear ahead. Despite Road Angel and TomTom having a fit, I still managed to ignore them and blasted it in 2nd gear - no idea what speed I was doing when it flashed, but concerned it could be a tad high

AE - that was when we were working our way back to the right route and crossed Tower Bridege. My tomtom said the same.

Lower thames street has a 20mph limit. 100% enforced.

So if they cannot read your number plates they just need to read PistonHeads now. I can see a job advertised in The Guardian:

"£30K for a diligant enforcer of the law. To trawl the websites of car enthusiasts to find people who admit to speeding."

I think I got caught at the Limehouse as I saw the first flash looked at my speed and it was no more than 35mph, as there were cars in front of me. Hope the camera had run out of film by the time I went through or there goes my clean licence.

I think i can safely say i did not get flashed at all, but would like to know who was taking photos of me entering and exiting tunnels and on nice straight stretches of road and even going through traffic lights WOULD YOU PLEASE NOT USE A FLASH ON YOUR CAMERA
Hopefully no post for me in the near future.
Glyn.

Update - my passenger took video footage at the time I got flashed. Looking at the markings on the road for the camera (how did I not see them?) which I assume are 1m apart, I travelled 20m in 1 second = 45mph. So hopefully, if I do get a ticket, it won't be as bad as I first thought.

Bit annoying to get caught in those 5s of fun

BTW - video footage now destroyed

Heh, I had that exact thought when taking photos on the bridge - I've got a flash gun on my DSLR and suddenly realised that shooting cars, albeit static, while traffic was driving towards me was probably not the most sensible of ideas. So I took it off and had to get used to standing very VERY still

are you sure? i'm pretty sure that those camera's are number plate recognition camera's to enforce the congestions charge. I've always gone over tower bridge at over 20mph (lol) and notever got anything back.
