SE meeting at GroomBridge Place near Tunbridge Wells?
Discussion
Groombridge place is a Country House and Gardens just outside Tunbridge Wells.
On 16/7/2006 they hold their annual "Wings,Wheels and Steam" event which includes a display of Vintage & Classis Cars (including contemporary & future Classics), Motorbikes, steam engines as well as some impressive aerobatic displays in addition to the normal attractions there.
Entry is free of charge to any owner/driver (plus 2 passengers) exhibiting a vehicle and practically every car that usually thunder up to Ide Hill would be an asset to this display! The only real stipulation is that you need to be in situ by 11.00.
I thought that this would make an ideal alternative venue for SE meeting instead of the Woodman at Ide Hill. It would be possible to regroup in the evening at the Woodman or another suitable venue after the show.
My entry is in - anyone else interest?
Exhibitors must register in advance before 10/7/2006 and full details are available on www.groombridge.co.uk

Excellent idea - I'll be there with Seloc as we did this event last year when it was a Ferrari Club GB co-promoted event. We rivalled the Maranello boys for numbers so looks like they've opened it up to a fair few marques this year!
It's a great day out, last year the weather was glorious, worth taking a picnic along, having alook round and chilling out. At the end of the day they launched a few hot air balloons:
BTW Was that your mate in the Ultima that won at Snetterton the other week?

The Wings,Wheels and Steam event is different from the Ferrari day, but a grate day out none the less.
So far I have entries for..
(my)Westfield
Rolls Royce
Ginetta G4
Austin Healey Sprite.
...and yes it was my mate in the Ultima at Snetterton. It was just built at Brands and all the setting where "middled". We managed dial out 8-9 seconds a lap during the day and finishing 3rd from 17th on the grid was still pleasing even with the buggered up ride hieght!!!. There is still a few seconds to get out of it yet!
I have also posted a link to a charity day at Gurston Down Hillclimb School, could you run that by your boys at seloc as it looks a great opportunity and ideal for your toys?
