I know this is a bit in advance bit august/september are busy months for people. So im going to get this going early. How does sunday 27th August or 10th september sound, i know its normally the first weekend in september but that clashes with goodwood revival. so we can wither go with the week befor or week after.

We shall go with the normal format, meet at basingstoke have a mid way meet at the seven stars pub then off to hayling island for some lunch.

So what date do we want to go for?

Don/.Mark have you still got the details from last year about the route etc?

See you all there WVM

Yes I do. There was some talk of "Tarte sur la plage.", though: Since this was .Mark's idea I wil leave him to comment.

When looking for a date its important to ensure that it is after school has gone back else the Hayling Island car park is unusably full. I usually telephone the Seven Stars to ask if their car park can be used (I can do this again, no problem). Depending on what people wanted to do one could arrive:

1) Before they open and be gone before they open - this has been OK in the past - but then there are NO LOOS
2) After they open - but then they want warning as catering to 40-50 thirsty PHers requires planning!

Is this open to all? looking at the pictures I dont think my car would fit in so I'd obviously follow a descreet distance behind (like I could keep up anyway!)

The Surrey Region will be back from France by then so Steve_T and I would be up for it. Does the 10th clash with Brighton speed trials?
Keep me posted!
Cheers

Looks like fun. Could well be interested depending on the date as August & September are looking busy already.

Having not missed one of these and not wanting to miss this one (it's always a great day out) ... I'd prefer September ... but I know you can't please everyone.

Unfortunatly I have a wedding on the 16th. Shame as it looks like a good one.

Do you normally do this run on a Saturday or a Sunday?

Wasn't on PH last year, but this sounds good.

What happens if you only live 10 mins from Hayling?

Ditto, despite what my profile says

I'm up for turning up and just barging into the odd conversation to say "Hi" as usual (there were some poor souls on the receiving end of that both at the last Tunnel Runs and LM )

I live near Hayling too, but last year we made the effort to get out of bed and drive to Basingstoke - that way we had two hoons

Alex in the Orange Eagle SS (kit car), and myself in the soon-to-be-finished Porsche 935 will be there.

September 10th sounds good,

Mike
