Why do people do that ? I've never been able to see any reason. I've been told its to stop car cloning. But the number plate is there for all to see when you drive it on the road. Also, car mags never do it. Can someone please enlighten me ?

Think its for insurance reasons, as well as the fact that with a valid numberplate, the home address can be bought for a fiver.
