It has a parallel taxiway, I've done a couple of events there.
It's very long, about the same as Brunters overall, but the surface is terrible in parts. At the start and ends it has small plants and grass growing through the runway and is rutted with roots etc. There are also painted markings on the runway which effect grip if it's damp. It's also narrower than Brunters. All that said it is another venue and it does allow noise, so lets just be grateful to every place we have left as in 20 yrs they'll all have houses on them.

Its safer than Brunters as you have a 1/2 mile run-off which you could enter at 100mph in an emergency at Brunters its a tyre wall & a car park. Have always gone well there, its another suggestion for a venue.

I've done Woodbridge too, this is where the viper hit 215mph right Rod? It's more of a straight line speed event, rather that the twisty bits too, but there is also room for a qtr mile set up as there was at terminal velocity 2004 and 2005. There is not an event this year so it may be an option for you Craig, Im sure Mad Rod will give the details if someone wants to book it for the day!

Rods,
I agree that Woodbridge is safer from a run-off point of view, in that it does have a very long grass section after the runway end if you overshoot (good picture here www.bentwaters-as.org.uk/html/woodbridge_history.html ), but I always felt the actual runway itself was less safe, as traction is worse than at Brunters which has a very grippy surface (most noticeablely in the wet).
I also agree it would be good to try there, as we know there's no noise issues, but it would be a VMax only or 1/4 mile day, as there's no corners (which doesn't personally bother me as I prefer my corners to be on proper race circuits than airfields).

Put in Woodbridge England and you can get some good views of the site. Don't know how old the images are.
