Has anyone organised one of these? I am trying to get one off the ground for sometime next year and would like to know how people have gone about organising in the past. What are the main issues and how did you go about making such an event a success?
Please add to this thread or email me through my profile.
Thanks
Ben

I assume you mean rides for charity.
I drove my Ultima for a Cystic Fibrosis event about a month ago. Lost count after doing about 20 (5 mile) runs.

If it is for charity then I should be able to give you some names but will need to seek permission first.

Thanks for that Steve.
I am looking into the organisation of such an event and speaking to people who have organised them in the past. Hopefully we can get plenty of interested drivers and lots more cars to form a static display.

'Supercar Sunday' at the Heritage Motor Centre at Gaydon had something similar.
Not sure if it still happens - it was a few years since I went.

Loads of cars parked up but there was a specific area where you could pay for a passenger ride (for 'charridy') in one of several v tasty machines.

Yes indeed it is still going. Does anyone know who organises this event and how I might get in touch with them?

Brilliant, I have emailed your wife to ask if she can give some more information about the pros and cons of organising an event like this.
Thanks
