Common folks, most standard exhausted stuff will pass the noise metre fine. If you have any queries ask on here and I'm sure we would have had something similar running previously so can advise if we'd expect it to pass or not.

Hi Craig

Thanks for the answer

Mine is 115 db ...I could put back on the standard back box....but it restricts my Nitrous...which makes me slower which defeats the object a little

Ah well...maybe those people who are near you and dont like noise will give up eventually...

All the best Brett

Craig, I just posted you a reply on the Ferrari forum.

Daz, you have heard my 355, what are your thoughts re me not being detected if I take off sensibly from the line?

Many thanks,
Brendon

It's not just off the line that's the issue though . Flat out down the runway is just as much of a problem, and if it's anything like 360's with a similar setup, no chance, not even close.

Shame really, but that's Brunters now.....

standard f cars should be fine, any exhaust mods will almost definitely be too loud, 360 cs too loud too

Carig, can you let me know when the next event will be? Sounds like too much fun to miss. If no spaces available, would not mind coming along to watch. Can either bring a 996TT (Revo tune) or RS6 (DTM).

Cheers

Hi Guys,

Sorry I can't make this one, currently sat in Grenada so a bit far to travel for the day

Plus after the trouble with the CL65 it has been sadly sold and replaced with an Aston Martin Vantage, so no more massive speeds for me anyway!

Have a good day and see you all at the next one,

Matt

Matt did the merc dealership network fix the problem with the CL65? A few cheapskate pikey peasant PHers (myself included) are following the AMG65's as a future cheap as chips 5/6 year old purchases. If 18 month old cars can't be fixed satisfactorily then it doesn't give us much confidence in what will be happening in the dealship network in 3 or 4 years time.

If the car couldn't be fixed in the UK, did MBUK offer to ship the engine to AMG at Affalterbach for a proper investigation?

cheers

They did fix the turbo issues however it took them some time to fix the suspension issues.
It was a great car for what it was, but anyone buying one needs to ensure they have a third party warentee.

I sold it for 62,000, so a lot of car (and power thanks to DMS Rob 650bhp) for the money.

Dealer currently has it up for 67k, hope he sells it soon as it cost me 3.3k per month!

Cool. At a future VMAX a well known northern peasant and a south western chav needs to have a chat with both yourslf and Angus wrt the true running costs of these monsters when you regularly abuse them as oppose to ponce around Kensington and Chelsea.
