advice on road trip to france
Discussion
Hi chaps,
A couple of friends & I doing a short jaunt to france.
Our ideal itinery is leave fri eve & get overnight ferry, arrive early next morn & drive some good roads until lunch, more driving, stay somewhere cool that night, chateau maybe then on sunday do a vinyard/champagne house, more good roads back to ferry.
We are very flexible where we go, any suggestions ?
Cheers.

not going to be going that far south then, but if you can be arsed to drive down towards epernay there are wonderful roads off the autoroutes to drive..
I'll try and dig out some of the roads I've used on my travels in that direction. Having said that it's France, and non autoroute driving heading in the direction of Epernay / Champagne region is all fantastic in comparison with UK driving!

As Mr Tony says:
- drive to Epernay.
- stay at the Hotel Les Berceaux in the town centre (eat at their restaurant if you want a swanky meal as well).
- drive any or all of the five Champagne tours starting from Reims (details and maps from the Tourist Information office in Reims).
- visit the larger Champagne houses in Reims, and also try a few of the small ones on the driving routes.
