Well done - I felt terrible having asked about the reliability and you singing the cars praises - thought I had cursed the car in some way!

Where's Erik's original post gone? Can anybody else see it?

Nevertheless, I'm pleased that you're relieved!

Erm... I think I may have deleted it by mistake (was trying to edit it...) rolleyes

After breaking down on the way home I spent the weekend sweating waiting to hear how bad the damage was. The good news is that I got the car back this morning and it turned out to be nothing serious. She's back on the road and looking forward to the next one. thumbup

Cheers for all the kind emails/texts from fellow PHers.

Erik,

Were Adam and I talking to you near to the end of the day? Was it you enquiring about Adams aerokit on the 997?

Very glad to hear you got your problem sorted anyway - very rarely do Porsches seem to get problems at VMAX. thumbup

Yep - that was me.

Thought I blew the engine on the way home but turned out to be a cracked coil pack (due to corrosion rather than stress) so car only running on three cylinders and misfiring badly.

You the guy in the blue Cayman?

Erik, glad everything worked out ok and well done on the great mph.
Dave, loved the spin.

Eril/Dave (and others if they want), at the start of each year I put together a list of all the track days that the 15 trackday companies do into 1 spreadsheet, and then a few mates and I decide on which ones we are doing.

Would be great to have some caompany on these. Feel free to email me thru my profile with your email address and I will send it thru.

Next week we are doing:
Silverstone on Tues 17th thru Goldtrack
Castle Coombe on Sat 21st thru trackdays.co.uk

Brendon - I'm definitely interested in some trackdays this summer. I'm taking a well earned holiday starting next week until 6 August but after that let's sort something out.

PS - you got any rear tyres left...!?

Enjoy the holiday mate. Yep the rears have are nearly dead again and will have to be replaced. Thats means I'll unfortunately be on my 3rd set in the last year. redface

As for trackdays, weekdays are tricky for me this year, just mail me any sugegstions, like I said I am doing bedford 25th aug, gonna get some better tyres before then!

Hope to see you all soon
