Trip to the South of France...help needed!
Discussion
Well i've got an interview down in Antibes as soon as i return home and as i'll have been away for 4 months by then want to take the VXT for a blast down that way since everyone comments on how great the roads are!
The plan would be to make it a long weekend and bring the g/f with me.
Problem is i could do with some help planning the route ie what should i take in, stop off points etc...
Is there anything i'll need to bring or have sorted before doing this??
Any help would be much appreciated here as i don't have a clue!!
Thanks

If you want a straight blast and then enjoy the cote d'azur then the blast will take you about 11 hours from Calais to Antibes.
A very scenic road is the Corniche de ??? - it's basically the coast road from St Raphael to Monaco.....the only issue is the volume of traffic so if you;re going before September I'd not do it.
A great "driving road" is the road from Aix to Grasse and then onto Monaco....usually empty runs through the hills.
An alternative for getting to Antibes would be go across to the French Alps by Autoroute which is about 7 hours (take you pick where you stay!!) and then from there drop south and pick up the Route Napoleon at Chambery. It'll take you about 5 hours Alps to Antibes that route)

Thanks for the info there, i'll pull the map out later today. I'll be going first week in August so not the best time to be hitting the roads!! I've heard good things about that Route Napoleum, the alps sounds like good fun and i'll have a look at the Aix to Grasse...seems theres so much to choose from! 11 hours is less than i thought though so not too bad!!
Thanks again for your help
