PH Shooting club - RBSS - Really Wild day
Discussion
Precis:
We're looking into doing a Really Wild day with Royal Berkshire Shooting School - this involves simulated game drives and a LOT of cartridges. It will be in the Berkshire area as this is where the RBSS is. The day will be 5,000+ clays over 5 drives, lunch, breakfast, tea and use of the shooting lodge and manor house. We need at least 12, maximum of 16. Each person will be looking at around 500-1000 shots and have a loader.
Novices can come, but it will be a VERY hard day, and an extra £225 (+ VAT?) for the instruction and supervision. If you are a novice and still want to come but don't tell us you're a novice, RBSS will ask you to stop shooting on the day and I'm not sure about what happens to the money you'll have paid.

Actually with hindsight, this should have a thread of its' own, especially as it's going to be in the Berkshire area. Remember though that they only run mid-week, so many will need to take a day off/chuck a sickie! I've shot at every estate that RBSS offer, and they are all wonderful places!
If you don't shoot 500 cartridges in the day....you're not trying! It may "seem" expensive, but it's probably the best "value" shooting you'll do! I've been on at least 20 of these days over the past few years, and I've never failed to have a brilliant day!
It will take some organising, but it'll be worth it! I'm at RBSS tomorrow so I'll speak to Dylan and see the minimum number we'll need. Normally it's 12, or at least it has been when we've taken "our own day" rather than joining a "roving day"
The only downside is that come September they don't run them as all the estates are game shoots as well! But obviously they start up again in February, so maybe aim for a March/April date?
