Did anyone get stuck in this on Sunday?

I had to turn around after 1 hour of queuing with little ones needing to be fed.

Talking to the event management team about a refund, so let me know if the same happened to you and I'll apply some pressure.

By the way, was it any good?

Apparently it was excellent.

I am glad that Brooklands had sold out of the Adult tickets when I went to try and get one on Saturday, as I would've been very hacked off if I'd got to a queue of that length with a prepaid ticket (and it was that length in both directions on the A281 and on the road out from Cranleigh) as even with me on my own, I'd have missed the whole first section of the airshow if I'd bothered to queue up, so I gave up and went home instead. frown

Yes, I queued for 90 minutes until I finally got parked. I don't know the area well, but I think I started queuing when trying to turn off the Godalming Road into either Hookhouse or Dunsfold Common Road. I didn't see any traffic management people until I'd actually entered the aerodrome.

It was a good show, but because of the queues to get in I left early (4:30) to avoid having to queue to get out.

You were lucky! By the time I got there, the queue was at least a mile longer both up and down the A281. If they can't improve the access, I fear for the future.. frown

2 hours to get 2 miles... also eventually gave up! They need to think of something to get rid up that mess.

It's strange. We went last year, getting there around 11:30 iirc (about the same time I would've arrived this year) and queued for no more than 10-15 minutes. It was a lovely day last year too, so not like people stayed away because of rain or anything.

Does anyone know Dunsfold well enough to know if anything has been changed?

I sat it out, solid from Guildford start stop each few hundred yards, took 3 hours! When I finally arrived it was easy to see why, just two people checking and selling tickets inside the gate. Something along the lines of p**s up and brewery come to mind. Badly spoilt an otherwise excellent show, or the half of it I saw.

We got there at 8.30 and still had to wait for 45 mins to get to the display area.

Forgot I'd started this topic after organisers agreed to refund tickets.
