I am looking for a nice romantic city break with my other half. So far I am thinknig of Istanbul and Vienna, but other suggestions are very welcome please!

Romantic you say? Caravan holiday in Rhyl... That way you'll have absolutely NO incentive to leave your room! hehe

Romantic you say, you could do Rome as previously mentioned, but really it's go to be Venice, no other city come's close.
We've done it in September and October, each visit was special, the lady will love it.

Tallinn, no question about it. Floodlit in the snow at night, the Old Town is simply magical. Snow is generally garanteed from January onwards, however you might be lucky enough to get some before Christmas when there is the added incentive of the Christmas Market and hot Gluhwein. cloud9

Surprisingly, no. The authorities have clamped down on it. There are one or two few establishments in town which cater for the drinking crowd, but that's it. 99% of Tallinn's bars and restaurants won't allow groups of blokes in.
