Anyone got an idea where to head out to for a break in hotel spa to treat girlfriend (must have swimming pool as girlfriends wants to swim), up to 2 hours driving from London...

I would like something along these lines => Donnington spa hotel where we went twice and it was amazing:

just would like to try something similar but different location.

If someone has an idea and can recommend a similar place within driving distance from London, would be much appreciated.

Obviously great driving roads in between are welcome bonus for me!!

Arrive via the A272 and you have a pool and a great road!

That' s nice except they charge £399 per person for only one night (saurday)!! that' s £798 for two...

Hallucinating when you think Donnington it only £263 for two including dinner and breakfast....

Still looking...

There's a De Vere hotel near the New Forest which is good value and has all the facilities!

sorry, would'nt recomend this one, swimming facilities are nice but the massages / treatments are bellow par as is the hotel presentation, even for a 4* it is not up to standard IMO, lived in the area for 20 years & is not used by the local population much wink

If you were going to go that way then try the 'Chewton Glen' @ Highcliffe is just round the corner, offers far superior grounds, facilities & treatments, listed as one of the best hotels in the world, they have a fantastic aqua therapy zone with outside Jacuzzi and superb eating.

Always have somekind of weekend special offer going to so have a look at their web site.
