March 15th StreetSafari Annual Matlock Meet and Pennine Run

It is the annual Matlock Bath Meet for StreetSafari on March 15th. If you are on one of our events this year, or were a team from a previous year, or just wonder what a banger rally is all about, or just want to hang out with people who like cars and like driving then feel to drop along.

We will be in The Midland Pub in Matlock Bath from 7pm onwards. The pub has a late license so don't expect to escape early This is usually the biggest and best meet up that we do, and its a very friendly evening, so feel free to pop in. I would encourage anyone attending to stay overnight in a B&B as its a great evening.

If you are more interested in going for a drive, we are also doing a Pennine Run during the afternoon.

The start is the BR car park next to the Midland Pub at 100pm for a 200pm start. There will then be a 90 mile run round the Pennines, maybe at pace. If Snake Pass is open (assuming it will be), we will be driving it.

The run is free of charge and is open to anyone who wants an excuse for a drive that afternoon. If you are coming, I would appreciate that you either put your name down on this thread, or email me so I can make sure we have some notes available for you. StreetSafari doesn't do single photocopied bits of paper - we do proper route books!

The only cars we ask not to come on the run are bangers. Bangers are for the proper events we do in Europe and the "pikey car park surprise" should be left to Calais

Remember that we will be in Matlock Bath and not Matlock (which is 2 miles away).

There's some lovely roads there and I wish you all the best for the afternoon - would love to be there myself but prior commitments preclude that.

I may just have to plan the route into my satnav and drive it myself when I get a chance.
