If your bored on Good Friday and its not pi**ing down come to Aldershot- Rushmoor Arena , its the Surrey Street rodders spring meet combined with something else thats just grown out of all proportion , get there before 10 as last yr the roads couldn,t take it and just gridlocked around Aldershot.

£5 entry (from memory) and lots of cars, autojumble , burger vans , other stalls and live music.

Just back.. the weather held out, I left about 1pm as I could see it being mayhem 'if/when' the clouds opened and everyone rushed to leave.
Great turnout of very varied cars, saw Mowtown Junk's Camaro, was on the lookout for the Mustangs but didn't recognise any. Bumped into GruffGriff too. !!

Yep, good show as ever - most owners wisely chose to ignore the weather forecast, but I do wonder how many required towing out at the end of play! There`ll be lots of people cleaning mud from their treads and arches this weekend and the chap with the Lola T70 rep will have his work cut-out: those cooling vents over the wheels might do a good cooling job on track, but they don`t half let the mud fly at 4mph!

Good to see you there ChevyStu.

P.S. What is it about PT Cruiser owners? Just because you CAN get god-awful naff tat to stick on them, doesn`t mean you should...Jeez, the `70s van scene had more style....

Thanks for looking at my cars. It didn't take too much to clear the mud off. I think the persistent rain later in the afternoon did most of the work. Just to correct one thing though, the Lola is actually a 1966 original. smile
