Meeting at Clackett Lane Services eastbound (anti-clockwise) for 0730
Around 50 miles or so, finishing up at a decent cafe for breakfast just after 0900.

This was designed as an informal meet to discuss the forthcoming Scotland trip, but anyone fancing an early morning Sunday Hoon on some decent roads through some nice countryside is very welcome to join us. The weather is looking good too!

Highlighted Google map overlays and basic written routesheets available at the start.

1. Saied - Elise Sport 160
2. quyen - 996 C2
3. nothelle - A3 turbo

Well, thought i'd never make the startpoint having been stuck in total gridlock in Streatham at 7am this morning.

Richard, good meeting you. Hope you had a clear run back around the M25.

Quyen, another enjoyable run. The 996 certainly sounds healthier than it did last weekend!

Justin,

I was hooning around Kent early this morning also - I basically did a re-run of the entire route you organised the other month (apart from a couple of roads closed for the London to Brighton bike ride). Had a great drive, and had nice clear roads for the whole run too luckily.

Sounds good.

You've really got to do these routes as early as possible. On most of these roads, if you come up behind 3 or 4 cars travelling in close convoy, you're stuffed. Finished. Curtains. Absolutely no chance to overtake, irrespective of power or local knowledge.

What I like the sound of is a proper 'Dawn Hoon', say starting at 4am. Maybe a blast down to the cliffs above Folkstone to see the sun rising over the Channel? Gonna have to be done within a few weeks to take advantage of the super long days, though.

Although I didn't get to the start near Eynsford until 6.30am, due to not stopping at each point for long and not having to wait for other groups etc I was at the bikers cafe before 9.00am so the roads were still very clear. There was a nice group of TVR's parked at the cafe - some really mint examples including an awesome looking blue Sagaris.
I'd be up for a real early one, as long as I had enough warning so I can adjust my sleep to suit!
