Dream Rides is back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Following the earlier postponement of Dream Rides on the 30th August due to the invasion of the travellers Dream Rides is Back!

New date is the 11th October with the venue remaining Wickham Court School, Layhams Road, West Wickham, BR4 9HW.

The format largely remains the same: turn up, take a ride in a sportscar, have some food, listen to some live music, bounce on the bouncy castles, have your face painted, bid in the silent auction for some great prizes and go home happy knowing you have contributed to a great cause!!!

Whats more the weather is guaranteed to be hot and sunny!!!!

For those who don't know from the original thread the event is to raise funds for the fight against childrens cancer following the sad loss of Molly Biederman.

All funds raised go to Great Ormond Street Hospital.

All are welcome and if you want to take part and bring along a car to give rides then please let me know.

I will email all those who offered rides before and hope that many of you will be able to make the new date!

A full list of auction prizes will be posted soon but how do you fancy being taken around Silverstone in a 430 GT3 by a professional racing driver or tickets to see Top Gear being filmed.

One item that must go before the event is 2 tickets to see the Jonathan Ross show being filmed at the London Studios on the 2nd October. Guests will be Michael Parkinson, Alan Carr and Faye Dunaway - music being performed by Oasis!!!! This comes with one of JRs ties - signed by the man himself!!!!!

Guys and Girls

It has been a heavy week so apologes for not being on site to update you all.

However, it is much as posted above.

If drivers could be on site by 10 am for briefing, registration, route details and yes...........bacon butties!!!!!

The weather looks like it could be the best weekend of summer so lets all keep fingers crossed that the forecast is accurate.

We have some great cars coming along so a huge thanks for all the dream rides team for your support.

In addition to those posted on the link we hope to have a ferrari P4 Can Am, A jag E type, '67 Mustang (may need to be pushed at some point!!)and many more.

I am sure that we will all have a great day and raise a tidy sum into the bargain.

The daily auction has some great prizes so bring cheque books and credit cards........ how about being driven around Silverstone in a race spec ferrari 430 GT3 car, or in a Porsche 997.

There are also non car related items such as restaurant or show tickets, rounds of golf,signed football memorabilia, tickets for Top Gear and loads more.

There will also be 4 racing simulators to pit you against each other in a 'friendly' manor of course!!!
