Xmas North Wales Tour - Sun 28th Dec - All Welcome

It's Christmas Tour time again.

This is now the third annual Christmas Tour. It’s on Sunday 28th December. Saturday will be too much of a Boxing day hang over so it's our first Sunday Funday Tour.

The tour is open to all makes of sport cars and has recently featured more Focus ST's than ever. I have to admit that even though I am a TVR man, the Focus guys were a great bunch.

We'll start out at Shrewsbury at 9.30am, stop for a pub lunch around 12 and finish around 4.30pm in Llangollen. The route is around 165 miles of unbelievable roads. You can join any where enroute if you like.

The advance route is only sent out to those with a reasonable PH posting history or just meet us at one of the stops.

Last year attracted over 20 cars and it's a free (petrol and lunch excluded!)

We'll split into two groups this time to suit different driving style

The route will avoid the main tourist routes and take in more challenging scenic roads. We’ll take in our favourite roads from the last trip.

We’ll start out at the Shrewbury Dobbies garden Centre Roundabout Roundabout. The same one used for the previous tours tour.

I recommend purchase some cheap walkie talkie this time like the Binatone MR150. You can get them from Asda.

I've got Autoroute 2006 so you can download direction and TomTom Files. I supply details a few days before.

If your running semi slick tyres, it's best to change to normal or winter tyres as Wales is too unforgiving in the damp or wet.

Mmmm, the Wales run at the end of the summer was good fun, so I'll see if I can round up the Redditch lot for some fun over Xmas.

I believe so - you're best to look in the TVR Forum, as it's mainly being discussed in there. The chap who organises it is a TVR guy, although plenty of other makes turn up

For guys coming from the West Midlands there is a meet up with Soundchaser, Richard K, Yanmar, cmr2payne and tamster at Hilton Park services northbound M6. Soundchaser should be there about 8:00am to leave at 8:15. Anyone else is welcome to join them
