Hi all, I live in southend and go out down the seafront 4 days a week in my car, now recent times have become rather poor turnout down the good old seafront so i'm trying to organize a nice big meet on Saturday 17th January. Saturdays we do still get a alright turnout but just want an absolute massive meet! Have posted this in several forums so if anyone is up for coming then let us know!

Check out facebook, and group, Southend-On-Sea Seafront Drivers for all details.

To be fair to the OP I used to drive a Mk2 Astra GTE 16v back when I was 18/19 (14 years ago now - where has the time gone) and attend various cruises/meets including Southend and look how I've turned out smile

Many people who enjoy cars/driving start off this way, yes I admit there are a lot of cocks but also a heck of a lot of petrolheads!

With all due respect to the coments about southend being a "Barry Meet" yes there is an element of that in southend however myself and a few other active members on here do go once a month or so on a sat nite. I have been doing this for aprox 10 years and have not had any trouble there and we norm have a good time play on arcade games, get hot doughnuts, cup of coffee and ofcorse look at the other cars. something that can be enjoyed by most i think.

well said ash yes you do get the odd muppet on southend seafront on a saturday night but you get that most places you go just let them get on with it dont let it spoil your own evening.

Hi Justin,

With the weather as it is I don't think I will be hooning any time soon (if ever!). Was just loitering in the events section to see what I am missing.

I may be tempted take the 996 down to the ACE cafe (or other such meets) to have a look at some nice cars e.t.c. so perhaps I'll see you there.
