Thanks for the tip off, I've just booked onto this, been thinking about going to North Weald for a while, never been before, and a Sunday is a perfect opportunity. See you there :-) I'll be in a blue Z4

Well I popped down around 11am to see what it was all about.
Looks like good value for the money and there isn't a noise limit which is great for me smile
I'll more than likely book for the 10th March now. biggrin
How did the afternoon go? Anyone not enjoy it?

I went last Sunday for the first time . Great day will arrange another in the near future ! Safe environment ! I went with my 20 year old Son who got to drive my Mustang for the first time . He is now on the phone to find a company who would give him cover . Yes he is still dreaming .

Hi Steve

I did see you go round once or twice before lunch. Lovely noise from that Mustang thumbup
I think I left as your son was about to have a go!

So, good value for the day then? How did your tyres hold up to the beating?

As advised pumped up to max ,i was stunned that it was 51 psi as stated on tyre wall. Shame that surface is a bit loose and bumpy .However both of us had a lot of fun .

Right, I'm booked in for tomorrow.
Licence - Check.
Oil - Check.
Water - Check.
Quick look at brake discs and pads - Check, well nothing out of the ordinary.
Fuel - Check, filled to the max.
Tyres - Check, increased but not to the max. Couldn't bring myself to go to the 51psi max so 40psi was enough for me (usually 24 - 26).
Roof ready to put on for the second time this year frown Rain tomorrow (saves the tyres).

I cant see any reason to increase your tyre presure to 40 psi or more anyway. My cusson works for Michelin and he tells me that if i do a track day increase the presure by only 2 or 3 psi and my car weighs 1800kg and the tryes looked and felt fine after a whole day at Silverstone. But the brakes did get a little warm lol.

So what do you get for £46 then ????? all the stuff on there website is in the hundreds. Or is it just for a blast around the airfield?
