Whoohoooo I just got a 3 day grandstand ticket at Eau Rouge for my birthday bounce

Going to drive over - but looking for good local(ish) accomodation.

Much rather have a good family run place that a big plush posh place full of overly Rich People.

Any recommendations would be welcome for hotels.
Also planning on the Eurostar train as it looks a fairly straightforward route, but any other good options would be welcome.

cheers all

Hotel D'Orange in Stavelot, probably fully booked by now.

We stayed in Aachen a couple of years ago - plenty of hotel choice but we picked the Ibis as it had secure underground parking for the Mustang. Bit of a drive to the circuit so we had to be going early to avoid too much traffic.

I'd pick somewhere closer if going again (perhaps even camp so we could walk into the circuit) but it could be a bit late now.

I stayed here last year - www.campingspador.be - in one of their mobile homes. Cheap and cheerful and would stay there again, great atmosphere in the evenings and really close to the circuit.

Looks interesting.

What do you mean "great atmosphere" ? Is that in a Le Mans camping way ?
I've got the missus coming along as well, so large of groups of beery lads might not go down too well.

I've stayed at the Bungalowpark Domaine De Chôdes in Malmedy a few times now. Simple, but adequate.

I can recommend HOSTELLERIE LAFARQUE. Not cheap but very, very nice.

I got their last room. They sound like nice people ! Have you walked to the circuit from there before ?
I'll probably drive Fri & Sat, but might be prudent to walk on the Sunday if queues are anything like Brit GP.

Thanks for everyones advice !

We slept in the hire car for 2 nights within 5 mins walk of the entrance. The farmer charged something like 10e a night, we arrived just after qualifying on Saturday so just got some Stella and went to a bar for some steak with a load of Kimi fans.

Just back and would recommend this place.
Good old family run hotel with bags of character, and due to few hotels Stavelot isn't overrun with fans, just enough to give it some atmosphere.

There is a back road that is a nice country road into the yellow parking, which never had a car on it all weekend. Leaving after the race, I had an empty country road in front of me and was in a bar sipping a cool beer 10 minutes later
