Stay in Nice and taxi or train it over. Sort hotel and flight seperate. Race tickets from www.justtickets.co.uk/ Swimmingpool is a good spot and not too expensive.

Having been to Monaco last year, personally I didn't really enjoy it. Its great as you get close up to the action, as the cars fly past bearly aout 30 meters away from u. But interms of racing, theres very little to see, as little or no overtaking, because its too narrow. The views are very restricted. The prices are mental 200 Euros for set lunch, per person!!...If I was to go again where would I sit, by the chicane just out of the tunnel, as you see them breaking hard, and if your lucky might see over taking there. Enjoy and have a good 1 ;-)...One word of advice, do not attempt to drive in or out of Monaco on race day as can take 3 hours to cover 5 miles!!

To do it on a real budget, drive down there with Bikes on the roof of the car, stay in the camp site, which is about 3-4 miles from Monaco, then just cycle in on GP day.

Thats what i'm doing next year anyway, well, if i can find the bloody campsite on the internet again anyway.
