Nurburgring 24 Hours

Heading off to the Nurburgring again in May for the 24 Hours event. There have been a couple of threads on this board but it would be nice to know how many pistonheaders are actally going. Perhaps if there are enough we could arrange a convoy or a meetup over there

Nigel and I will be going again; Friday to Monday this year. Where abouts are you staying?

We'll be staying at the Burgstube in Nurburg. Will be round and about the circuit over the weekend so could meet anywhere really. Probably be having a few beers somewhere in Adenau on the Friday evening, hoping to book at table at the Pistenklause on the Sunday evening. Where abouts will you be based?

I'm Heading over for the third year running. IMHO this event knocks the socks of Le Man, so if your thinking of doing one event this year make it this one!

dobbomk1 I too am Staying in the Burgstube, stands a pretty good chance I'll bump in to you, when are you arriving?

Hey Will, good to here from you! We are getting the Wed evening ferry out, arriving at the circuit Thu am. I’m sure we’ll bump into you and partake in a few beers

Plan is to stay make it all the way round the Nordschleife on Friday using pedal power! Will you be joining us All being well we should make it to Wehrseifen hairpin for 2pm and the start of the final qualifying session. I think this would make a good venue/time for a pistonheaders meet up if anyone else wants to come along? Great view of the track and a nice little bar. Plenty of places to park at the bottom of the hill in Breidscheid as well and its in easy walking distance of Adenau.

I've done LM and Angouleme a few times but this'll be my first time to NB and I'm really looking forward to it! I even tied in my visit back from NZ to coinside with it

Really should get my flight booked!

Hopefully won't have a repeat of my bike and booze incident like my last Le Mans, aye Dobs?

Fortunately, fruitloop there is a mountain bike track that follows the race circuit so you can keep your drunken riding off the roads Be prepared to cycle up some very steep hills though!
