That's my poor Monaro getting blown away. 400 horses and full throttle in 1st gear and it looks like I'm standing still frown

That Ferrari is an awesome machine! bow

Nice prompt Maff. Gives me achance to bore you with these.

Not great, especially the sound and all a bit the same as they were all shot from inside my car. Might be some of interest to the owners of the other cars though.

thanks for that I was in the M3 saloon! smile anyone wondering why I started braking before the timing beams, it's because having hit the limiter around 2/3 down the straight I thought no point knackering the brakes!

Some great footage there!!

Mine was the 335d and it's mapped by Evolve not DMS. I also broke well before the beam on that run as I was saving my brakes (felt a bit weak after 3 consecutive runs!!).

Manual mate, I've got video of our run which I'll try and post at some point. biggrin

Your 335d is mighty impressive!

Anyone know if youtube accepts the avchd hi-def format?

Thanks for correcting me. I saw you were braking early. Only 1mph between our bests, a level rolling start on the straight would have been interesting.

I must admit I am normally always moaning about my brakes but I went round and round all day (lost count of how many) and no complaints on that front. That's why I wasn't charging down to the first bend from the start line though, giving the brakes some relief before the more important stop!

The run where neither of us could decide who was going round the corner first?! wink

I was very surprised I managed 198 too, was running low 190's all morning, then after lunch managed two 198s in a row. But the dealer did say red ones go faster wink
I found changing up into 5th and 6th before 8000rpm made all the difference.

When you got it right it launched really well for a manual, I thought it may have been the DCT version hence my question. I fluffed my launch against you but it would have made no difference, you'd still have had the upper edge. Get a new freer flowing exhaust and then down to Evolve or DMS and get the limiter removed, then you'll be able to see what it can really do.

Look forward to the vid..

Jules.

You looked a fair bit faster than the other B5 S4, who was running what map (MRC/AMD/???)?. I had a run against him also and pulled a fair gap, I think he ran a best of 163mph. My brakes were fine but just felt a bit "soft" after 3 consecutive runs so just wanted to give them a rest on a couple of runs. I used to run a B5 S4 a few years ago and loved it, it was running 330bhp and 380lb/ft and always felt quick.

Jules.

Hehe I only properly gave it the full beans off the line against you and one or two others! Every other time I let the clutch out fully with only a few revs before nailing it.

Amazing how threatening a little d badge can be hehe

Mine has a custom MRC map. The other car an old AmD map. We pretty much knew mine would or should be quicker, but neither of us expected it to be by so much. Mine dynoed at 335 BHP on a dyno dynmaics and 515NM torque I think.

Tell me about it, I hoped to get at least 160 but as the speeds got higher the fuelling got worse.

The car will have a new map soon.

Hi Mark,

Sounds like you need to visit MRC for a check-up first and then remap if needed. Was yours the one with the taped up front?

Jules.
