Excellent idea! I would love to meet up-how about that cafe near Broxton roundabout? There's a big carpark. Let me know if you sort anything. Anytime you fancy going on a drive out let me know too. There are some lovely roads in Cheshire.

I grew up about 5 miles from Broxton. Doesn't that roundabout have a reputation as a bit of a dogging spot?! There was a pub just up the A453 from there, The Coppermine, which was actually a service halt on the RAC Rally many years ago, but believe it's recently fallen into new ownership. The landlord of The Pheasant Inn in Burwardsley has an E46 M3 and a big car park. I'll check with my parents if they know of any car-friendly landlords. I live in Leeds now but would be up for coming back over for a dawn raid on some of the roads around there.

Great idea,if anyone has relatives who owns a pub and wants some winter trade. If successful carry on through summer. Is there still a pub and transport cafe at Prees near Whitchurch, easier for our fellow P'hers in Wales.Any thoughts? Dave .

I have spent last few months checking out roads in the area for the Sporting Bears Dream Rides I am organising out of Cholmendeley Pageant of Power 18th - 19th July see www.sportingbears.org.uk where I can recommend the pasties and pies at the petrol station on the roundabout and have just changed my notes on the coppermine that is now called the Sandcastle, but couldn't find the sea!

I would be up for meeting up.

I used to play cricket at Cholmondeley as a nipper so went to the PoP last year. I'm taking my Elise to put on the PH stand this year. In fact I was going to contact Sport Bears at some point to discuss whether the little Lotus would be of any use...

The roads immediately around there are fantastic. The A49 towards Whitchurch is mega, as is the A453 towards Wrexham - that is a supremely quick piece of road, although I'd maybe speak to the local plod first to warn them. There is a local police station on the A41 near Tattenhall.

Hope that helps. I'll throw my hat in the ring for the Pheasant. They have Morgan meetings up there and some spectacular views. I know a local lad with an awesome car collection; would see if he could bring out something for the party...

A trip out to speak to the landlords of the Pheasant and the Sandstone seems to be in order. Then are you thinking of a Saturday or Sunday?

what are the "entry requirements" of such a gathering? Supercars only or just an enthusiasm of all things automotive?!

The pheasant is a lovely pub and right in amongst some decent roads

Burwardsley - great place. There's another local lad I went to school with who lives nearby as well who posts on PH as chassis33. I think he's got a TVR now actually...

I grew up in Farndon, my folks are still there. I love that whole area. Heading 'home' this weekend, as it happens.

Sweet - Farndon is a cool little village. And loads better than Holt ;-)

I don't think I'm back there until the Cholmondeley Pageant of Power. Are you off to that or the Oulton Park Gold Cup by chance?

Hiya Chevronb37, unfortunaetly we are full in the Dream Rides this year but when you're parked up come across and ask for Max on the Sporting Bears area, I will be there both days and will be looking to promote the other Bears activities we run throughout the year and getting ready for CPoP next year.
