Me and a couple of others are going to the German GP in a couple of weeks, and we have got 3 great tickets, a hire car, BBQ, tent and beer!

Our tickets are for the first corner on the circuit (hairpin), we want to find a campsite near or on 'that' side of the circuit?

Does anyone have decent knowledge of the circuit and surrounding area / campsites to advise us of one close enough to where we are seated?

Would appreciate any advice, all i can find on google is links to camping am nurburgring, but i have no idea where that is in relation to the circuit!

Cheeeeers!

Camping am Nurburgring is about a 10 -15 minute walk to the circuit, you have your own private entry/exit point out of the campsite onto the circuit, your Grandstand is a 15 minute walk from this point.

Site is clean & well equipped, take ear plugs if you want to sleep, if DTM weekend is anything to go by you'd better start to like The Hoff at full volume & AC/DC/Metallica/Def Leppard. There's a nice little restaurant & bar at the exit gate to the circuit, usual fare, Pork & beer. Shop at the site entrance is well stocked & fresh veg, bread & eggs arrive daily. Khazis can get a bit like a Maze prison dirty protest by mid morning so I'd do your business before then unless you can breath hold.

Keep hold of the paper tickets they give you at the camping entrance, when you leave if you don't have them you'll pay again.

Cheers for your input.

Im not loving the sound of the Heavy Metal style music! But it sounds well catered for! Im used to the Woodlands campsite at Silverstone..... Which is just a field! LOL!

Sounds like Camping Am Nurburgring is the place to be, is it best to just turn up? Or can i pre-book or something?

No pre booking needed, never had a problem at DTM weekend which is far better attended by ze Germans than F1.
Don't bother paying for an electric point, they are all live anyway.
