Geneva Motorshow 2010
Discussion
Basically this is a call out to thoses of you that travel across Europe regularly. I'm think of going to the Geneva Motorshow in March 2010...
My Planned route is going to be:
Sheffield - Ashford Eurotunnel
Calais - Geneva (motorshow)
Geneva - Modena (Ferrari/Lambo Pilgrimage)
Modena - Stelvio Pass/Davos Road (Top Gear's Greatest roads)
Pop into Nuringburgring on the way past
Then home......
.so how many days do you think I should take...?
Any roads I should use/avoid?
....any other advice....????

Mate I'd give Darren a call, he knows all the best driving roads around that area & can help you map out a route, to ensure you drive on some of the best roads!
One road you gotta do is the Ardesh region in Southern France, the roads are straight and smooth like a runway and all you do is gunn your car up to 170 mph, then slow down for the a quiet sleepy towns then accelerate up again! This went on for 25 miles ;-)

Stelvio will be closed in March...as will most of the decent passes your window is late April to the early Oct for them to be open.
Your best bet would be take a cheap flight to Geneva (the event is next to the airport)
and do it as a day trip (or two if you fancy) much more fun than trying to navigate mountains with snow on them.
Then drive those roads when you know they will be open. You're welcome to come with us, or we can point you in the right direction in terms of roads and hotels if you wish.
