Any PHers fancy going to this event to display a few cars?

It was a great day out last year, no doubt helped by the fab weather. Only downside was the grounded Vulcan, which was my main reason for going. Loads of other stuff to see though.

They accept 'classic' cars up to 1990 although there were quite a few later cars there last year including several TVRs and BMWs so I reckon any interesting car would be accepted. Each car gets 2 free passes to the air show and you get to park right in the centre via a priority route.

I am intending going for both days and will be sorting out a campsite or B&B nearby for the Saturday night. Will have to book it soon though as it gets very busy.

Here's a link to the website:

Maybe not sure yet, I think TVRCC have it as an event.

Anyone going to exhibit will need to submit details in good time to ensure clearance smile

I've had this in mind for a while as something we AMOC Area 3 (which covers Lincoln) members could do ....

Do you think they'd accept my 1990 S2?

I only live about 5 mins from waddington so dead handy for me.

Cheers

I'm sure they would Ant. I have sent off my application so let's hope the weather is as good as last year.

Local camp sites appear to be only accepting 3-night bookings - do you know of a good B&B?

I could take the S2 but I think my 1963 Moggie pickup would be more welcome - filling form in! It's the week before Duxford Flying Legends so fits into my diary biggrin

After going in 2008 to see the Vulcan return to public display and then the let down/debacle/embarrassing CAA issues of 2009 I'll old off on deciding. I think they must have put all the funds into getting the Vulcan to fly as there was nothing of any note worth seeing. Once they announced at about 1pm the Vulcan wasn't flying we left to beat the crowds.

A real shame as 2008 was so good!

We didn't go in 2009 but agree that 2008 was excellent despite the rather wet weather to start off with! The only downside was the length of time it took to get out of the place - about 2 hours if I remember rightly. It wasn't as bad as it could have been as we had left just before the end of the flying so at least we could sit in the queue & watch the displays - and it had stopped raining by then so we could take the roof off!!!

Great show though & would certainly consider going again.
