Ladies & Gents,
well, what a day!
I wanted to say a personal thanks to you all for your attendance on the weekend. We had some incredible machinery there, I'd argue the best ever.
A new vmax record at 222mph by the convertible (yes, read that again CONVERTIBLE!!!) 9ff CAR. He then went on to do 210mph with the roof down!!!
A massive thank you to you all for your understanding and patience when we had to take an impromptu break after the incident at the end of the runway. I appreciate its frustrating and I thank you for bearing with us. Anything of this nature is always done with your best interests & safety as a paramount issue so thanks to my superb safety team everything was dealt with as quickly and as painlessly as possible. Jan the driver actually returned to vmax towards the end of the day and was in fine spirits although undoubtedly a little sore now!
Vmax will return, bigger, better, faster, stronger
thanks all!

Oh, also for the very pleasant chap driving the Ruff 850.
He had done 207mph but was going to try for more.

Jan had driven the Gturbo 850 to 207 in the morning with Max in the passenger seat, I was lucky enough to ride with Max for 3 laps later in the day, his best was 202 unless he beat that after I left.. He had done 207mph but was going to try for more.
The 850 is geared for about 240Mph, whereas the convertible was geared for about 222!..

not sure about the 850 but I believe the blue one also did 222mph.
As we followed it through the traps on that particular run, I can confirm it read 222mph on the trap.I can also tell you that being overtake with a 120mph speed (I was at 100mph) difference is startling, especially when your top is down, and it sounds like a thunder crack as it comes past!
I have the video of it passing me in the MX5 - I'll get it uploaded asap.

Thanks for the feedback Craig, glad your happy and everything turned out well, or as well as it could, on the day. Very happy to hear Jan's all well and good too. Some amazinmg speeds there, good work all.
