Sumopower Open day who went along? Video + Photos in thread
Discussion
I guess a very quick introduction would be the polite way to start this as im new, I'm Dave, 26, drive a Honda Integra DC5 and live in London
Well I went along to the Sumopower open day a couple of weeks ago and took the camera with me, firstly, what an AMAZING facility! Really nice bunch of people and I think they have an excellent future ahead of them...
The whole ethos behind the company just seems so right, a quote from James Rumsey's interview "Providing a main dealer service for the aftermarket community" music to the ears I thought!
Aside from that they have a pile of stunning show cars and obviously the FIA GT one, Drift & Drag Team, Custom Parts, Engine building, Servicing, Dyno, Paint shop... etc etc... All under one roof AND representing UK modifying on the global motorsport scene. I will be supporting them at their first race at Silverstone thats for sure.
Anyhoo some pics form the event...

and, An interview with the man behind it all, Mr James Rumsey...

Would love to know your thoughts on the video, what else would you like to know about Sumopower, what other videos would you like to see?
Car features, parts reviews etc etc?
Thanks for reading and I look forward to your responses.
I assume you guys do meets in London so I'll get reading on the forums and invite myself along to the next one and say Hi.
I saw the tunnel runners out on saturday night and plenty of them were supporting the PH Logo

You work for their PR agency and I claim my five pounds!
Seriously though, some nice looking cars there and it does look like a large facility. Are they a big name in japan I don't know much about the whole tuning scene really so interested to know

lol no mate, just love what they are doing, I am passionate about getting the UK car scene as big as it is in Japan, Its HUGE over there... Granny's drive modified skylines etc lol.
I think they have done the GT one thing to get known as a worldwide brand, basically they want to get a worldwide name so that they can secure more parts, from more aftermarket companies basically a bigger range for us lot. They then test it on the track and then improve it/refine it and ultimately sell it to the modified car community.
If this all sounds a bit sales pitchy its not meant too lol i just interviewed them for my blog and really liked what they had to say was very impressed, the workshop was like walking into a dream for me. clinicaly clean with awesome cars everywhere, shame i couldn't take one of those R35's home

If i was having tuning work done then this is a serious consideration.
Couldn't agree more I would feel VERY confident having my car looked after by them. Funny you mentioned the floor it was gleaming wasn't it. In the shot of the S2000 you can see the full wheel in reflection. I was a hazey dream like experience lolIf i was having tuning work done then this is a serious consideration.
