F1 - Spa 2010 Advice Wanted
Discussion
Hi looking to go to this years Grand Prix at Spa. Having not been there before and aware that the track is longer than most and with lots of changes in elevation. So my question is can anyone give some advice as to where the best viewing spots are preferably with multiple views of the parts of the track. Thanks
I went in 2007 and was in Grandstands at Eau Rouge. If you are looking to get general admission though a good spot we could see from where we were was at the old bus stop at the chicane. On the mounds under the trees and even in the trees just to the right of the grandstand (See link).

We could see the people there from Eau Rouge so they could see us and the cars going up Eau Rouge but also they would be able to see the cars coming along towards the chicane, through the chicane and up along to finish line. Good overtaking area also.
The downside though is you'll need to get there really early, stay there and need to be in a group of min 2 to reserve your space to get food and use loo. (Maybe in reverse order)
If you're looking at Grandstands, Try Gold 7 Just at exit of 1st corner. See carnage at start, Overtaking throughout and cars at end of race turning in the pit exit after the race (Circuit is too long to do lap after race so go straight in to pits via exit of turn 1)
We stayed in Hasselt, 30 mins away but allow loads of time on race day as we queued for ages on Motorway but did leave hotel at 8.30 ish, so if we did it again we'd leave about 7.30 ish.
Police are really good at getting traffic moving after the event too allowing full use of all lanes out and none in.
Really good weekend....You'll love it. (Very Jealous)
